FNHC colleagues celebrate at annual Staff Awards

Staff at Family Nursing & Home Care (FNHC) recently came together to celebrate the work and achievements of their colleagues at the annual Staff Awards evening.

Invited guests included Assistant Ministers for Health and Social Services Deputies Andy Howell and Barbara Ward, and Jon Wilks CEO of the Institute of Health and Social Care Management.

Throughout the evening the nominees, runners up and winners of various awards were announced. The winners were:

• Team of the Year – District Nursing Central
• Suzanne Middleton Memorial Award – Ellie Thackeray
• Exceptional Service Award – Claire Whelan, Lee Newell and Mary Loughray
• Excellence in Care & Quality Improvement – Gill John
• Small Change, Big Difference Award – Jess Lima
• Fundraiser of the Year – Gilly Glendewar
• Support Staff of the Year – Sue Ashford
• Outstanding Contribution to Community Healthcare – Claire Harvey
• William Glasson Award – Abi Cooper

Presenting the awards alongside their guests was FNHC Chairman Phil Romeril and CEO Rosemarie Finley, and Deputy Ward presented the William Glasson Award to Health Visitor Abi Cooper.

This Award was set up in memory of William Glasson who was previously a member of staff at FNHC. The Award continues to be sponsored by his family in recognition of his happy days working for the charity and to commemorate FNHC’s values which William embodied.
