The role of the Committee (Board) member is to ensure that we are compliant with relevant legislation and regulations safeguarding the values and reputation of FNHC. You will help to shape and define the future strategic direction of FNHC to ensure the best community health care possible is provided to each Islander to support them to start well, live well and age well.

hours: 4 - 12 hrs per quarter

salary: Not applicable

criteria: Ideally, but not essentially, you will have a background and experience from a clinical health career - or you will have knowledge and a keen interest in our health services and how we are supporting the future of health care in Jersey.

Family Nursing and Home Care (FNHC) is a local charity that works to improve the health and lives of islanders. Our Committee (Board) members play a vital role in the governance and leadership of our charity, ensuring we operate effectively, ethically, and in accordance with our mission statement, values and legal obligations.

We are currently looking for two additional Committee (Board) members to be a part of a small and friendly team who are passionate about supporting islanders to Start well, Live well and Age well.

Ideally, but not essentially, you will have a background and experience from a clinical health career – or you will have knowledge and a keen interest in our health services and how we are supporting the future of health care in Jersey.

We are looking for individuals who can contribute fresh perspectives from professional and lived experiences. Above all you will bring critical insights and help us to continue to grow and develop our professional island wide services.

The role of the Committee (Board) member is to ensure that we are compliant with relevant legislation and regulations safeguarding the values and reputation of FNHC. You will help to shape and define the future strategic direction of FNHC to ensure the best community health care possible is provided to each Islander to support them to start well, live well and age well.

Our Committee (Board) holds quarterly meetings, usually midweek in the late afternoon and we have two Sub Committees (Finance and Governance) that some Committee (Board) members also attend. These Sub Committees take approximately an additional 4 hours per quarter, dependent on workload at the time.

Family Nursing & Home Care provides a full face to face induction programme to new Committee (Board) members and resources to ensure safe and secure communication between meetings.
