Jersey Law says that “All children must wear a seat belt or have an appropriate child car seat when in a vehicle.”
It is the drivers responsibility to ensure this happens.
CAPJ representatives visit all schools to explain to children why it is so important that they use appropriate car seats and explain the laws that are in place to support this.
We also follow RoSPA guidelines which now recommend that children use the high-backed child car seats and not solely the cushion seats.
