What is covered?
Emergency First Aid at Work is a First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) Accredited and Nationally recognised qualification designed to give the attendee knowledge of dealing with various emergency First Aid situations.
Attendees will be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations and include a practical and written knowledge assessment.
Upon successful completion, each attendee will receive a certificate valid for 3 years.
Course content:
- The role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing an incident / managing an unresponsive casualty
- Basic Life Support – CPR, use of AED / Recovery position
- Drowning and hypothermia
- Choking / Seizures
- Shock / fainting
- Wounds and bleeding
- Burns and scalds
- Eye injuries, foreign objects, bites and stings – Anaphylaxis
Duration: 1 day
