First Aid Essentials

What is covered?

This course is designed to give the attendee a basic knowledge of dealing with various First Aid situations.

There are both theoretical and practical elements to the session including assisting a choking casualty, placing a casualty in the recovery position and using an AED.

Upon completion a certificate which is valid for 1 year will be presented.

Course Content includes:

• The role and responsibilities of a first aider
• Assessing an incident / Managing an unresponsive casualty
• Basic Life Support – CPR use of AED / recovery position
• Drowning & hypothermia
• Wounds, bleeding and burns
• Choking
